From my experience, you will be referred to an Ophthalmologist at about the 3 to 4 month mark post-vitrectomy. Once you see the Cataract Specialist you are likely another 3 to 4 months out before having cataract surgery.
Loss of vision, flashes in the eye, shadows, a very large floater, lots of little floaters (almost like fruit flies)
Please contact your eye specialist immediately. If your optometrist is not available, we highly recommend that you visit the Emergency Department at any one of these Hospitals.
